You care for others far from home. We care for yours.
Travel nursing, locum tenens, and contract assignments take you across the country — often a new city every few months. You spend your working life caring for strangers far from home; a lifetime Return Assured membership is the plan you make now, so that if the unthinkable happens while you’re on assignment, your family never faces that day alone with a hundred decisions to make: one call to APASI, and the preparation, the paperwork, and the journey home are all handled — with 100% of transport costs covered.

Common questions
I take assignments in different states — which counts as my legal residence?
Your legal residence — the place of residence for 180 or more days in the 12 months preceding the date of death, verified through voter registration, driver’s registration, and/or other means.
Does my coverage change from assignment to assignment?
No. Membership is for life and isn’t tied to an employer or assignment. Coverage applies whenever death occurs more than 75 miles from your legal residence.
What does the $350 cover?
A one-time payment for lifetime membership: full logistics coordination worldwide and 100% of transport costs, so your family never has to arrange — or pay for — the journey home at the worst possible time. No expiration, no dues, ever.
